The title means in Spanish “face and marks”. This piece is a reflection and memorial to the victims of the acid attacks.
This piece comprises of two lithographs printed on Revere Silk paper, and nine zinc etchings printed on foundation powder. The lithographs are portraits of two survivors: Maria Cuervo from Colombia and Reshma Quereshi from India, who made headlines for a series of beauty and makeup videos called "Beauty Tips by Reshma," which aim to raise awareness of acid attacks in India.
This piece was printed by the artist and co-designed with Atramentum Studio in November of 2015.
